We spoke a bit about a couple of poems. The first, Whatif, by Shel Silverstein. I mentioned that the song “Three O’ Clock Blues” reminded me of this poem and Longhair needed clarification that the song was talking about 0300 hours, not 1500.
The second poem, Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night, by Dylan Thomas, talks about a slow degradation into death. Longhair and I talked a little about how different priorities and philosophies can affect the “dignity” with which one may die.
